Police Investigating Murder Case After Body of 13-Day Old Baby Found Near Klerksdorp
Stillfontein police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a 13-day-old baby boy was found along the N12 outside Klerksdorp.
The grim discovery was made a motorist on Saturday who immediately alerted authorities.
The police’s Amanda Funani said no arrests have been made and the investigations are continuing.
The infant whose hands and legs were tied with a plastic bag, was found wearing a grey trouser with a white vest and covered with a cloth. Preliminary investigation revealed that the baby had bruises on the body. No arrest has been effected at this stage and investigation into the matter continues.
Funani has urged anyone who may have information that can assist in the investigation to contact police.
