SA’s COVID-19 Positivity Rate Drops to 22%

South Africa’s COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped to 22% with the country recording another 3,782 new infections.

This pushes the country’s known caseload since the start of the pandemic to more than 3,417,300.

Fifteen more people have also died in South Africa after contracting the coronavirus, pushing the national death toll to 90,829.  

So far 3,120,012 people have recovered. 

On the vaccination front, about 27.8 million jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far. 

The NICD says there has also been an increase of 150 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours
