The weather bureau says severe thundershowers are expected on Monday over Gauteng, south-western parts of Limpopo and western parts of the Mpumalanga Highveld.

It also says there is a potential risk of flash-flooding especially in low-lying areas.

“Heavy downpours expected to result in flooding of roads, settlements and low-lying as well as danger to life.”

The Weather Service has advised people to stay indoors if possible and postpone or delay travel arrangements.
