52-Year-Old Man Appears in Court for Raping Three-Year-Old Child in Limpopo
A Limpopo man has appeared in the Praktiseer Magistrates’ Court for raping a three-year-old girl.
It is understood the child was playing in the street with other kids when 52-year-old Sipho Mokwena lured her to his house and raped her.
Mokwena then tried to bribe the child before she was spotted by the neighbour who alert the mother.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) Mashudu Malabi Dzhangi said Mokwena was remanded to custody
“The mother and the child was taken to the clinic. It was confirmed that she was raped by Mokwena who was arrested by police. The case was postponed to 30 December 2021 for further investigations and a formal bail application.”
