The number of crime related incidents are continuing in Lenasia following a hijacking.

In the latest incident, a Nissan Navara was hijacked on Nirvana Drive on Tuesday.

Concerns have been raised by the increased levels of crime in the suburb.

Last week, a local business owner was shot several times extension 13 after dropping off his staff at home while three suspects were also arrested for armed robbery and have since appeared in court.

Pedestrians are also not safe after an elderly man was robbed in extension 8 and another group in extension 13.

Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) also foiled a robbery at the busy Signet Terrace shopping centre while vehicle theft is also on the increase after a car was stolen in broad daylight in Gemsbok Street in the CBD.

Lenasia residents say they are fed up with crime and want more visible policing in the suburb especially during the festive season.
