Police Appeal for Information After Human Skeleton Found on Sardinia Bay Beach.

Walmer police in Gqeberha have opened an enquiry after a human skeleton was discovered partially buried at the foot of a sand dune in Sardinia Bay beach.

It is understood that a passerby made the grim discovery on Sunday while walking on the beach and alerted police.

The police’s Priscilla Naidu confirmed that the skeleton may have been buried for a period of time.

“It was between 5 to 25cm in the sand.  There were no clothes or any other information that could assist police in any identification.The skeleton will be sent for forensics analysis to determine race, age and sex.”

Naidu has appealed to anyone who may have reported any person missing or drowned to contact the police.
