One Killed, Five Injured in Witpoortjie Head-On Crash

One person has been killed and five others injured in a head-on collision in Witpoortjie.

Paramedics say on arrival at the scene on Friday, they found a person trapped inside the car.

ER24’s Russel Meiring says the injured patients were transported to hospital for further care.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that the entrapped patient had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. The five other patients had sustained serious to moderate injuries.

Meiring says the details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
