High Court Rules Zuma’s Medical Parole “Unlawful”, He Should go Back to Jail

The Pretoria High Court has ruled that the decision to place former President Jacob Zuma on medical parole was unlawful and that he must go back to jail.

Zuma was released in September, just months after the Constitutional Court sentenced him to 15 months imprisonment for contempt of court.

Former correctional services commissioner Arther Fraser granted him medical parole less than two months into his sentence

He was taken into custody from his Nkandla home in July.

The court has also ordered Fraser to pay the legal costs
