Rain-Seeking Prayers Performed Across Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Muslims across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have performed Salaat-ul-Istisqa (Rain-seeking)
The prayer was read by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in times of drought and late rainfall beseeching Almighty Allah for rainfall.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reports that In Makkah, the prayer was performed in the Haram and attended by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region.
In Madinah, the prayer was performed at Masjid-un-Nabawi and attended by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region.
In Riyadh, the prayer was performed at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque and attended by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region.
The prayer was also performed in other regions and attended by Governors of Regions and senior officials.
In their sermons, the Imam’s urged Muslims to pray to Allah Almighty for repentance, forgiveness doing good and charitable deeds and supplicating for rain-fall.
