[WATCH] R511 Highway in Joburg Closed Off to Traffic After Cash in Transit Van Bombing – Three People Injured
The R511 highway has been closed off to traffic at the N14 and Diepsloot due to a crime scene.
It is believed that the road was closed off on Friday after an alleged bombing of a cash in transit van.
The JMPD’s Wayne Minnaar says motorists should use alternate routes and avoid that section of the highway.
“There are SAPS investigators on the scene who are processing the crime scene.”
Emer-G-Med responded to the cash-in-transit heist
It says three officers sustained mild injuries.
“The officers were transported by Emer-G-Med and Netcare 911 to a nearby facility.”
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
