Soweto Highway Blocked with Rocks & Burning Tyres by Protestors Over No Electricity
There is protest action on the N17 Soweto highway in Johannesburg.
The JMPD says the traffic has been affected for motorists wanting to enter Orlando West from Nasrec Road or the N1 highway.
Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says motorists should use alternate routes.
“Protestors are complaining of no electricity and have placed rocks and burning tyres on the road surface. Motorists can use Chris Hani or Elias Motsoaledi roads as alternative routes.
Minnaar says officers are monitoring the situation.
