The JMPD has urged motorists two drive with extra caution following heavy rains in Johannesburg

Gauteng Weather tweeted reports of adverse weather conditions on Thursday with severe thunderstorms, damaging winds including small hail in some part of the city.

The JMPD’s Wayne Minnaar says motorists must be vigilant during the wet weather conditions.

“Motorists are reminded to drive with extra caution due to a lot of rain water which is on the roads in Johannesburg. It is necessary for motorists to keep headlights switched on to increase visibility and two maintain a safe following distance.”
