Mostly Settled Weather for SA Local Government Elections
With the South African local government elections just a few days away, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) says the Overall, weather conditions are expected to be mostly sunny, with warm to hot temperatures, while in the western parts, a cold front will result in cooler temperatures with wet and windy conditions.
South Africans will head to the polls on Monday, 1 November in what is expected to be a hotly contest election as service delivery issues plagues many communities across the country.
The provincial weather forecast break down is given below:
GAUTENG:
Partly cloudy and warm.
MPUMALANGA:
Partly cloudy and warm but hot in the lowveld
LIMPOPO:
Fine and warm to hot.
NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:
Fine and warm
FREE STATE:
Fine and warm.
NORTHERN CAPE:
Cloudy and cool in the west with rain showers, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and warm.
WESTERN CAPE:
Cloudy and cool in the west with showers along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and warm.
EASTERN CAPE:
Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cooler with rain showers along the south coast and adjacent interior from evening. It will become windy from midday.
KWAZULU-NATAL:
Fine and warm to hot.
The Saws says it will continue to monitor any further developments relating to the weather for election day and will issue subsequent updates as required.
