Police Investigating after Man Shot Dead & Two Others Wounded at Cape Town Masjid
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting at a masjid in Cape Town.
A 29-year-old man was shot dead and two others seriously wounded following prayers in Wynberg on Friday.
Western Cape police spokesperson FC van Wyk said they are investigating the shooting.
“The injured victims were taken to a nearby medical facility for medical treatment, the gunmen fled the scene after the shooting.”
Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) deputy president Sheikh Riad Fataar told News24 the shooting may be gang related and has called for calm.
