Police Investigating Murder Case After Dead Body Found at Lenasia South Clinic
Police are investigating a case of murder following the grim discovery of a body at the at Lenasia South Clinic.
It is understood the 46-year-old victim was shot on Saturday after dropping of clients from different restaurants in Lenasia Extension 1 and 8.
Police say they were informed of the incident by an on duty nurse.
Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande says the motive for the murder is being investigated.
“The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his lower body. According to a witness, it was alleged that the victim drove his bakkie to pick up off duty clients from different restaurants at Lenasia Extension 1 and 8. He arrived home at Thembelihle Informal Settlement. The neighbours heard several gunshots fired. They went outside and found the victim shot several times and the bakkie crashed into the toilet.”
Ndimande says victim was then taken to Lenasia South Clinic for treatment but later died.
Ndimande has urged anyone with information about the murder to contact the police.
