Woman Dies after Truck Crashes into Bakkie & Tree on K43 in Lenasia

A woman believed to be in her 30’s or 40’s has died after the truck she was driving crashed into bakkie and a tree on the K43 in Lenasia.
It is understood the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
ER24’s Ross Campbell says the women was trapped in the vehicle and in a critical condition after the crash.
“The bakkie had been heavily crushed on the driver’s side and the Fire Department was required to extricate the patient. Her condition deteriorated following the extraction and she was quickly transported by ER24 with the ALS medic across the road to the private hospital in order to try and stabilise her condition. She unfortunately succumbed to her multiple injuries at the hospital.”
Campbell says the driver and passenger of the truck involved in the initial collision were unharmed in the incident and SAPS as well as JMPD were on the scene for further investigations.
