Armed Criminals Rob Pizza Restaurant in Lenasia CBD

Police have urged the Lenasia community to be vigilant after a group of armed criminals robbed a pizza outlet in Gemsbok Street.
It is understood that five armed suspects stormed the restaurant on Sunday and accosted the owner and staff.
The police’s Bafana Ndimande says they are investigating a case of business robbery.
“They went straight to him at the counter and pointed him with firearms. They forced him to open the till and took cash and other items to an undisclosed amount of money. They then left.”
This is the second robbery in Gemsbok Street after a group of criminals robbed a mobile phone and accessories shop about two weeks ago.
Ndimande has appealed to the community to assist police with the information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
