As Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana prepares to deliver his maiden budget speech to revive South Africa’s economy, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Report has revealed that young people are increasingly turning to entrepreneurship to become economically active and put food on the table.

South Africa’s current unemployment rate is hovering at around 35% 

According to the Report, almost 61% of respondents feel that there are good entrepreneurial opportunities in South Africa while more than 83% of people are of the view that entrepreneurs hold a high status within our society.
