Instagram Users Warned not to Click on Unverified Links
Instagram users have been warned not to click on links that may compromise their personal details.
Wired2Tech has seen a number of private messages sent to users which may be a possibly a scam.
The message read: “This took me a few hours to make. I really hope you like it.”
The message also contains a link prompting users to create an account or log into Instagram to see what the person who sent the post created.
It is understood, the message is a means to allegedly access or steal users’ passwords.
Some uses to told Wired2Tech they did not send the message and were not sure how it was sent from their accounts.
Users have been encouraged to change their passwords immediately if they have clicked on the link by mistake.
